July 2, 2007: Border Crossing Event & Send-Off
The Seattle/Cuba Friendship Committee collected medical supplies and medical journals for the Caravan. On July 2, we co-sponsored a border-crossing event at the US/Canada border crossing Peace Arch Park, welcoming Canadian caravanistas into the U.S. That evening in Seattle, we held a Send-off event for the caravanistas, where the donations were loaded onto a Friendshipment bus and sent to Cuba on the Caravan.
